Paolo Frattini lives in Varese (Italy).

He studied classical guitar with G. Motta, electric bass with Paolo Costa, upright bass with Stefano Dall'Ora and improvisation, ear training and composition with Marco Conti.

During all these years he has had the chance to play in Europe and USA. He also collaborated with Carlo Verdone, Barbara Evans, Suzy Wong and the Compagnia della Gru.
He performed live and recorded with lot of different bands and artists such as Junior Wells, Julia St.Louis, Gaelle, Tullio De Piscopo, Radoslav Lorkovic, Elliott Murphy, No One Else. He also worked for many years with the italian producer Giuliano Boursier at the Sunrise Studio.

Also, Paolo took part in clinics Furio di Castri and Paolino Dalla Porta (at Siena Jazz, 1995) and with Stuart Hamm, Marcus Miller, Alain Caron and Gary Willis.
He studied at the Jazz civic school (Franco Cerri) in Milan.

His ACK - acid funk project released 5 albums (more than 65.000 writed copies) only recording only original compositions, including different styles (nu-jazz, black, dub and trip hop).

These days, Paolo is also teaching in Varese and is working as a freelance bass player.
